Founding Mobile Engineer (React Native)

Location: Remote in the USA; a Palo Alto office option is available with a hybrid schedule after the first three months.

Salary: $200K–$400K per year, plus equity and bonus.

What you will do

• Own the mobile platform end to end, architecting, building, and shipping the React Native application for iOS and Android.
• Build AI-powered mobile experiences with insights and real-time agent interactions.
• Establish mobile architecture patterns, shared components, testing strategies, CI/CD pipelines, and performance standards.
• Integrate with TikTok, Meta, Instagram, Shopify, and other external APIs.
• Collaborate with product, design, and founders to shape the product experience and technical implementation.
• Improve reliability through monitoring, error tracking, and performance optimization.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with deep expertise in React Native.
• Proven experience shipping high-quality production mobile applications.
• Strong understanding of mobile architecture, navigation, state management, and platform-specific considerations.
• Experience integrating external APIs and building real-time, data-intensive features.
• Ability to work across the stack in a fast-moving startup environment.
• High ownership, strong product intuition, and comfort operating in ambiguity.

Nice to have

• Native iOS or Android development experience or experience bridging native modules.
• Background in social media, e-commerce, or commerce infrastructure.
• Production experience with LLMs, AI agents, or machine learning-powered features.
• Founding or early-stage startup experience.
• Open-source contributions or notable side projects.
