Location: Madrid, Calle Mendez Alvaro 61, Spain. Hybrid working model with regular in-person collaboration and work from home; the office/home split is discussed during the application process.

What you will do

• Assess operational improvement needs and recommend solutions using approved AI, machine learning, workflow automation, and data analytics tools.
• Define solution designs with operational subject-matter experts and Technology, including requirements, data inputs, controls, scalability, and business alignment.
• Build and test proofs of concept and lightweight automation solutions with approved AI tools, Python, SQL, and workflow technologies.
• Support implementation through user testing, process and technical documentation, performance monitoring, and benefit tracking.
• Translate operational pain points into scalable solutions that reduce manual effort, improve data quality, and strengthen processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 5 years of Python development experience within financial services.
• Strong programming and analytical skills with Python, SQL, or comparable tools, including reporting, analysis automation, and large data sets.
• Experience designing and implementing workflow automation, AI, or data-driven solutions in operational environments.
• Strong understanding of data management, controls, governance, risk frameworks, testing, documentation, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
• Ability to translate business requirements into practical solutions while balancing experimentation with security, control, and regulatory expectations.
