Senior EH&S Engineer (Fixed Term 12 Months)

Location: Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico; full-time, fixed-term 12-month position

What you will do

• Design, coordinate, and improve EHS&S programs and management systems for the facility.
• Ensure compliance with EHS&S laws, regulations, corporate requirements, and Mexican standards.
• Lead industrial hygiene, ergonomics, workplace safety, risk assessment, and emergency planning activities.
• Review chemical and waste room inspections and support waste disposal activities.
• Conduct EHS&S training, communicate performance against goals, and lead site projects.
• Support ISO certification, supplier evaluations, records management, and MAARS compliance monitoring.

Requirements

• University or bachelor’s degree, or equivalent education, with relevant EHS&S experience.
• 4–6 years of experience in environmental health and safety.
• Knowledge of EHS&S laws and regulations, including STPS, SEMARNAT, and Mexican compliance requirements.
• Knowledge of ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18000; GMP and ISO knowledge preferred.
• Analytical reasoning, communication, coaching, problem-solving, risk management, and regulatory compliance skills.

Nice to have

• Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills.
• Experience with corporate EHS&S programs, facility management, performance measurement, and learning content design.
