WABC - TV (ABC7) Programming Intern (Television)

Location: New York, New York, United States; onsite availability in the New York area is required.

WABC-TV is the flagship Disney/ABC-owned television station serving the New York television market.

What you will do

• Support Executive Producers and the Senior Producer with yearly programming specials and the weekly “Here and Now” talk show.
• Assist with field shoots and production activities.
• Transcribe and log taped interviews.
• Research and fact-check content.
• Capture post-production elements, including graphics and music.
• Learn television broadcast workflows, FCC regulations, music rights, and licensing.

Requirements

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience supporting video production through filming, editing, or post-production.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and collaboration skills.
• Demonstrated interest in television, media, or entertainment.
• Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university, be at least 18 years old, and possess unrestricted work authorization.

Nice to have

• Experience or familiarity with Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Portfolio or reel link included on the résumé.

Culture & Benefits

• Part-time, six-month internship from January 2027 through June 2027.
• Availability for 24 hours per week, Monday through Friday, including Wednesdays from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
• Reliable housing and transportation in the New York area must be provided by the intern.
