News Video Editor (Adobe Premiere Pro)

What you will do

• Edit news stories, packages, VOs, VOSOTs, teases, promos, and special projects using Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Produce and edit content for WDAF+ streaming channels and digital platforms.
• Collaborate with reporters, photographers, producers, and newsroom leadership to create accurate and engaging content.
• Manage multiple assignments and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced newsroom.
• Maintain editing workstations and assist with workflow troubleshooting.
• Follow newsroom procedures, style guidelines, and current events.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; college coursework in journalism, communications, broadcasting, or a related field is preferred.
• At least two years of video editing experience, preferably in television news.
• Advanced proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Experience with newsroom systems such as Bitcentral and Latakoo.
• Strong writing, grammar, copy-editing, AP Style, and newsroom editorial skills, including the ability to write VO and VOSOT scripts.
• Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays as news coverage requires.
