Senior AI & Automation Engineer

Location: Texas, United States; hybrid work with at least 3 days per week from the assigned office

Salary: $132,500–$161,715 USD per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Architect, build, operate, and improve enterprise AI solutions, custom applications, integrations, and automations.
• Administer enterprise AI platforms and define safe-use governance, adoption patterns, and enablement.
• Evaluate AI capabilities for business value, security, privacy, data handling, reliability, and compliance.
• Maintain and modernize the PHP/Laravel application portfolio and develop internal applications and services.
• Build secure, observable, modular automations using Okta Workflows, Workato, Python, PHP, Go, and APIs.
• Automate identity lifecycle, access, compliance, security, and service-delivery processes while establishing engineering standards and supporting on-call operations.

Requirements

• Relevant technical degree or equivalent practical experience and 6+ years in software, automation, or IT platform engineering.
• Experience independently designing, delivering, and operating secure, maintainable enterprise production solutions.
• Hands-on experience with web applications, APIs, integrations, automations, and at least one modern programming language.
• Working knowledge of REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth/OIDC, SaaS integrations, identity lifecycle management, access controls, and secure application practices.
• Strong technical judgment, communication, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills in a geographically distributed environment.
• Availability to work from the assigned office at least 3 days per week in Texas, United States.

Nice to have

• Experience administering or supporting enterprise AI platforms such as Gemini Enterprise, Claude, OpenAI, or Microsoft Copilot.
• Experience with AI governance, safe-use guidance, and AI capability evaluation.
