Staff Product Engineer (Enterprise AI)

Location: Remote US; candidates must reside in the United States and have permanent US work authorization. Regular overlap with European business hours is expected. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $185,000–$220,000 USD annually for the US market.

What you will do

• Build and ship full-stack features, integrations, and customer-specific customizations across front-end UI, APIs, services, and deployment configuration.
• Work directly with technical partners and enterprise customers to understand environments, requirements, and constraints, then turn them into technical plans and production software.
• Support pilots, proofs of concept, and early production deployments in partner-hosted and customer-controlled environments.
• Diagnose and fix complex issues across application, infrastructure, identity and access, integration, and data-access layers.
• Convert recurring customer requests into reusable product capabilities and provide deployment documentation, guidance, and runbooks.
• Use AI-assisted development tools while maintaining strong standards for quality, security, and maintainability.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, including significant Staff-level production delivery and impact.
• Strong full-stack skills with modern TypeScript or JavaScript, component-based front-end frameworks, back-end services, APIs, and integrations.
• Experience working directly with customers, partners, or systems integrators while also writing production code.
• Experience building or supporting AI-enabled applications such as LLM platforms, RAG systems, agents, enterprise search, or data connectors.
• Understanding of enterprise deployment concerns including authentication, identity providers, access control, self-hosted and hybrid infrastructure, observability, and reliability.
• Strong communication, collaboration, independent judgment, and experience operating in an early-stage product environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with self-hosted, private cloud, sovereign, or regulated deployment environments.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and cloud deployment.
• Experience with European enterprise or public-sector customers, data residency, or sovereignty requirements.
• Experience supporting security reviews, privacy assessments, enterprise procurement, or open-source projects.
