Test Tech I (Medical Devices)

Location: Onsite in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States

Hourly pay: $22.50–$25.00 per hour

What you will do

• Evaluate, functionally test, service, and perform basic troubleshooting on new and used medical devices.
• Use electronic test equipment and written procedures to test products and troubleshoot test-system setups.
• Learn product test systems and circuit functions, distinguishing genuine failures from false failures.
• Record product and quality information accurately through computer systems or written documentation.
• Cross-train across multiple work areas, flex assignments as needed, and participate in process improvement activities.
• Follow safety procedures while handling equipment, including used or recycled medical devices that may not be clean.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least two years of test and troubleshooting experience with electronic or electrical equipment.
• Full comprehension of written and spoken English is required because training and knowledge testing are conducted in English.
• Ability to follow medical device procedures, regulatory requirements, safety rules, and detailed instructions precisely.
• Basic understanding of circuits and ability to read and interpret basic schematic drawings.
• Strong attention to detail, inquisitiveness, coachability, and ability to work effectively in a team.
