Discovery Paralegal

Location: Hybrid role requiring office hours in Southfield, Michigan; Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM. Work location: 20750 Civic Center Drive, Suite 400, Southfield, MI 48076-4132.

Salary: $68,200-$78,881 per year, plus potential yearly incentive pay of up to 15% of base salary.

What you will do

• Draft first-party discovery responses.
• Prepare materials for production, including appropriate redactions.
• Manage high volumes of discovery and production materials with attention to detail.
• Interact with clients, experts, and witnesses throughout the litigation process.
• Collaborate with legal administrative support, legal secretaries, paralegals, and experienced peer mentors.

Requirements

• 1-5 years of litigation or paralegal experience.
• Experience with No-Fault law and knowledge of the civil litigation process.
• Legal knowledge focused on litigation discovery and familiarity with Michigan court rules and procedures.
• Strong organization, written communication, prioritization, multitasking, independence, and attention to detail.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Adobe, a case management system, and a document storage system.
• Must be eligible to work lawfully in the United States immediately; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Paralegal degree, certificate, or certification.
• Medical training, relevant coursework, or a legal studies degree.
