TL;DR
Data Engineer III (AWS): Building and optimizing enterprise data pipelines, AWS data lakes, analytics platforms, and Snowflake data warehouses with an accent on streaming ingestion, data modeling, and large-scale integration. Focus on designing MarkLogic REST APIs, integrating enterprise platforms, and solving complex data architecture and performance challenges across relational and NoSQL systems.
Location: USA - Remote

What you will do
- Design and develop data pipelines ingesting data from relational databases, file shares, and web services.
- Build streaming ingestion solutions with Kinesis and Kafka, plus performant data lakes on AWS S3.
- Develop data engineering and analytics solutions using AWS Glue, Informatica, EMR, Spark, Athena, and Python.
- Model data and build data warehouses with Snowflake.
- Design JavaScript modules and REST APIs with MarkLogic and integrate them with enterprise platforms.
- Contribute to requirements definition, system and data architecture, and the full software development lifecycle in an Agile environment.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in enterprise information solution architecture, design, development, and integration architectures.
- 5+ years of hands-on AWS experience with S3, Kinesis, Lambda, Athena, Glue, and EMR.
- 5+ years of experience with MarkLogic, web development, analytics tools, and advanced statistical software.
- Strong experience with Python, JavaScript, Java, Angular, Node, JSON or XML data modeling, Git, and database architecture.
- Experience with data ingestion, extraction, integration, relational and NoSQL databases, and BI platforms such as Qlik Sense, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, statistics, or a related field.

- Experience with DynamoDB.
- Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence.
