Engineering Technician (Fusion Energy)

What you will do

• Develop and maintain fusion generators, maintenance processes, procedures, and tooling.
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and managers to design, assemble, test, and troubleshoot electromechanical systems and fixtures.
• Design and fabricate fixtures and jigs for assembling and repairing electromechanical components.
• Own process development and create work instructions for energy bank maintenance.
• Design, build, and conduct mechanical and electrical tests on parts and assemblies.
• Lead full-scale builds, coach fellow technicians, and ensure production safety and quality standards.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a mechanical or electrical technician.
• Experience using light fabrication tools, including power tools, mills, and lathes.
• Experience with CAD modeling.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings, manuals, and reports.
• Efficient use of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook for documentation and communication.
• Ability to squat, reach, climb, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Experience designing parts and fixtures in CAD software.
