IT Security Engineer (Application Security)

Salary: $94,000–$151,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Partner with software development teams to identify, prioritize, and remediate application security vulnerabilities.
• Integrate security practices and controls into CI/CD pipelines and the software development lifecycle.
• Perform threat modeling, security architecture reviews, and application and code security assessments.
• Translate security findings into practical, risk-based recommendations for technical and business stakeholders.
• Strengthen secure development practices and contribute to the maturity of DevSecOps and application security.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in information security, including strong hands-on application security expertise.
• Experience with DevSecOps and integrating security into continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
• Experience reviewing code and working directly with software development teams to remediate vulnerabilities.
• Experience with threat modeling, security architecture reviews, and risk assessments.
• Strong information security fundamentals, sound security judgment, and clear communication skills.
