Senior Insurance Authorization Specialist - Infusion (Healthcare)

Location: Remote within the United States; authorized U.S. work status is required. Travel to and onsite work at client, temporary, or corporate office locations may be required as business needs dictate.

Salary: $18.65–$23.50 per hour, based on experience.

What you will do

• Perform insurance authorization and verification for patients scheduled for services.
• Select appropriate clinical records and submit authorization requests according to payer requirements.
• Validate demographic and insurance information and confirm active coverage.
• Act as a liaison between ordering physicians and insurance companies to communicate approval requirements.
• Support supervisors with escalated issues, workload distribution, and system or process tracking.
• Mentor and train new authorization and verification specialists while supporting quality and productivity targets.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience with infusion therapies and the infusion authorization lifecycle.
• Experience with oncology or specialty infusion therapies, treatment plans, and payer-specific rules.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certified Revenue Cycle Representative certification required within 9 months of hire; certification costs are covered by the company.
• Must reside in and be authorized to work within the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with physician- or hospital-administered medications, injections, infusions, or genetic testing.
• Associate degree.
• Openness to using AI and other innovations to improve processes and patient and client experiences.
