Senior Security Engineer (AWS)

Base salary: €38,095–€47,619 EUR annually

What you will do

• Design, implement, and monitor security controls across AWS production environments using IAM, GuardDuty, Security Hub, KMS, VPC, Config, and related services.
• Secure Linux servers, Docker containers, Kubernetes clusters, corporate infrastructure, identity tooling, and zero-trust access systems.
• Administer Splunk as a security data platform, onboard log sources, maintain data pipelines, and support platform health and licensing.
• Own vulnerability and CVE lifecycle management, including triage, root cause analysis, patching, remediation metrics, and MTTR improvement.
• Build security automation with Python, Go, Bash, or similar languages, and implement policy-as-code, IaC scanning, and CI/CD security guardrails.
• Define security architecture standards, support the SOC during incident response, mentor junior engineers, and prioritize security initiatives by risk and business impact.

Requirements

• 6+ years of hands-on cybersecurity engineering experience focused on cloud security, infrastructure security, and system hardening.
• Deep experience securing AWS environments and applying native AWS security services.
• Strong Linux administration and hardening experience, including Docker and Kubernetes security.
• Experience with corporate identity and access tooling, Splunk or comparable SIEM/data platforms, and vulnerability or CVE lifecycle management.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or Bash, plus experience with policy-as-code, IaC scanning, CI/CD security baselines, CIS, and NIST.
• Strong cross-functional communication skills and experience collaborating with SOC, engineering, and IT teams; mentoring experience is required.

Nice to have

• AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist, CISSP, CCSP, or CCSK certification.
