TL;DR
Management Accountant (Retail): Preparing management accounts, financial reports, audits, budgets, forecasts, and balance sheet reconciliations for an international retail estate with an accent on reporting accuracy, variance analysis, and commercial insight. Focus on owning month-end procedures, investigating actual-versus-budget performance, and supporting financial decision-making across multiple entities and territories.
Location: Based five days a week at the Shirebrook HQ, Meadow Lane, Shirebrook, Mansfield, UK

What you will do
- Prepare monthly management accounts and department reporting for multiple entities and stores.
- Conduct variance analysis and investigate differences between actual results, budgets, and forecasts.
- Present management accounts to the line manager and senior finance stakeholders.
- Own audits for relevant entities and assist with year-end trial balances.
- Post month-end journals and complete intercompany account reconciliations.
- Own balance sheet reconciliations and complete ad hoc reporting tasks.
Requirements
- Fully qualified accountant with current CIMA, ACCA, or ACA membership.
- At least two years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience with accounting systems and finance processes.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with large-scale, complex data.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Availability to work onsite at the Shirebrook HQ five days per week.

Hiring process
