Product Proposition Manager (Health Insurance)

Location: Hybrid, based in Dorking one day per week and London two days per week, UK

What you will do

• Support and maintain the product roadmap across group risk, healthcare, and individual protection portfolios.
• Develop product proposals and robust business cases for senior stakeholders and governance committees.
• Manage product lifecycle activities, including product reviews, fair value assessments, enhancements, and documentation.
• Use market insight, competitor analysis, and data to shape product design, positioning, and customer outcomes.
• Build relationships across leadership, operations, distribution, finance, legal, and compliance to secure buy-in and deliver change.
• Support broker and client conversations, RFP responses, pitch presentations, industry forums, profitable growth, retention, and digital process improvements.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience in the health and protection insurance industry, including workplace benefits.
• Technical understanding of health and protection arrangements; experience with multinational pooled, captive, or retained-risk arrangements is advantageous.
• Experience designing, implementing, and presenting customer-focused product initiatives.
• Strong commercial judgement and experience supporting SMEs and large employers using data to inform decisions.
• Results-focused approach with the ability to solve problems, drive change, and turn ideas into action.
• Strong relationship-building and influencing skills, including confidence working with senior and C-suite stakeholders; relevant degree, professional qualification, or equivalent practical experience.
