Senior Software Engineer II - LLM Observability

Location: Remote - Canada

Base salary: $250,000–$280,000 CAD per year

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs in Go with attention to scalability, cost, maintainability, and backward compatibility.
• Build full-stack product features using Go, React, and TypeScript.
• Define technical patterns, lead complex multi-team projects, and mentor engineers.
• Collaborate with product and design partners from discovery through delivery and contribute to technical and product roadmaps.
• Participate in on-call rotations, operate software in production, and resolve user and system issues.
• Communicate clearly, share knowledge, delegate effectively, and improve team engineering practices.

Requirements

• Substantial experience designing, building, and maintaining backend systems, APIs, and services in Go or similar languages.
• Professional experience delivering frontend features with React and TypeScript.
• Experience planning and delivering complex projects spanning multiple teams or systems.
• Ability to own work end to end, debug across the stack, and address technical debt proactively.
• Experience mentoring engineers, leading technical design reviews, and raising quality standards.
• Experience supporting production software and working with on-call rotations, plus strong written and verbal communication.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Copilot, Claude Code, or Cursor.
• Interest in applying production and observability experience to hirify.global’s product.
