TL;DR
Lead Accountant (French Accounting/US GAAP): Owning end-to-end accounting operations for Dashlane’s French entity, with an accent on statutory compliance, month-end close, payroll oversight, VAT and tax filings, and ASC 606 revenue recognition. Focus on leading audits, coordinating e-invoicing compliance, modernizing workflows with AI-assisted automation, and mentoring the local accounting team.
Location: Paris, France. Hybrid schedule with office attendance on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, and remote work on Wednesday and Friday. English and French are working languages.

What you will do
- Own the French entity’s accounting operations, local books, and month-end close.
- Lead the annual French statutory audit, VAT and tax filings, and CIR preparation with Engineering.
- Manage ASC 606 revenue recognition, B2B invoicing, accounts receivable collections, payroll entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Partner with the Global Controller on US GAAP audits, internal controls, and international accounting projects.
- Optimize Pennylane accounting processes and lead the 2027 French e-invoicing compliance initiative.
- Adopt AI-assisted tools and automated workflows while mentoring the local Staff Accountant.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting or equivalent and 7+ years of relevant accounting and tax experience.
- Strong knowledge of French statutory accounting, US GAAP, and ASC 606 revenue recognition.
- Fluency in French and English, spoken and written, is required.
- Experience with Pennylane and NetSuite or comparable modern ERP and financial platforms.
- Strong Excel skills for complex analysis, reconciliations, and financial modeling.
- Ability to manage local financial outcomes, collaborate internationally, and deliver accurately under tight deadlines.
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience coordinating French R&D tax credit preparations with technical and Engineering teams.
- Strong interest in AI, digital transformation, and accounting workflow automation.
- Flexibility to collaborate across time zones and travel to Lisbon and US hubs two or three times per year.
