Azure Data Engineer

Location: Hybrid in Jackson, Michigan, with onsite work required three days per week

hirify.global is recruiting for a large energy-sector enterprise with a substantial Azure data platform supporting reporting and operations.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain Azure data solutions using Synapse Analytics, Data Factory, Databricks, Azure Storage, SQL Pools, and Key Vault.
• Develop linked services, datasets, pipelines, integration runtimes, and complex orchestration workflows in ADF and Synapse.
• Write SQL Server stored procedures, functions, dynamic SQL, and data-processing logic.
• Process large datasets with Spark Pools, PySpark, Databricks notebooks, incremental loads, and data-merging solutions.
• Develop Python integrations using APIs, stored procedures, Azure Functions, and Logic Apps.
• Support Git-based CI/CD deployments, Power BI reporting, and production troubleshooting with business, application, and data teams.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Databricks.
• Deep SQL Server skills, including stored procedures, dynamic SQL, and complex data-processing logic.
• Fluency in Python and PySpark, with experience processing large datasets in Spark.
• Experience building ETL and data pipelines with delta and incremental loads.
• Working knowledge of Azure Storage, Azure Key Vault, SQL Pools, Git, and CI/CD across development, QA, and production.
• Ability to work onsite in Jackson, Michigan three days per week.

Nice to have

• Power BI experience.
• Exposure to Azure Functions and Logic Apps.
