Executive Director, Multiple Myeloma Pipeline Lead (Cell Therapy): Leading the integrated clinical development strategy for a multiple myeloma pipeline spanning early- and late-stage cell and immunotherapy programs with an accent on first-in-human studies, pipeline prioritization, biomarker strategy, and regulatory planning. Focus on designing complex clinical programs, integrating clinical and translational evidence, making data-driven advancement decisions, and leading cross-functional teams toward registration and commercialization.

Location: Hybrid role based in Somerset, New Jersey, United States. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and employment eligibility will be verified through E-Verify. Travel of up to 15–20% is required.

Base pay: $294,483–$386,511 USD per year. Performance-based bonus and/or equity may be available for eligible roles.

What you will do

  • Lead the Multiple Myeloma Pipeline with strategic, scientific, and medical accountability across early- and late-stage development.
  • Develop integrated clinical development strategies covering disease settings, treatment lines, endpoints, dosing, combinations, biomarkers, measurable residual disease, safety monitoring, and evidence generation.
  • Design, execute, monitor, interpret, and report first-in-human, dose-escalation, dose-expansion, proof-of-concept, pivotal, and registration-enabling studies.
  • Drive pipeline prioritization, asset sequencing, resource allocation, advancement criteria, and development decisions across multiple programs.
  • Integrate clinical, translational, biomarker, pharmacology, safety, real-world, regulatory, and competitive data into pipeline recommendations.
  • Lead governance discussions, regulatory interactions, business development evaluations, external scientific engagements, and mentoring of the clinical development team.

Requirements

  • MD, MD-PhD, or equivalent medical degree required, with board certification in hematology or oncology.
  • At least 6 years of clinical development experience in biopharmaceutical industry and/or academic medicine, including substantial experience in hematologic malignancies and multiple myeloma.
  • Experience leading early clinical development programs, including first-in-human studies, dose escalation, dose expansion, dose selection, safety monitoring, data review, and proof-of-concept generation.
  • Experience with cell therapy, CAR-T, in vivo cell therapy, T-cell engagers, bispecific antibodies, antibody-drug conjugates, protein degraders, or other innovative multiple myeloma therapies.
  • Experience with IND submissions, regulatory meetings, clinical and regulatory documents, and health authority interactions.
  • Strong knowledge of multiple myeloma development, International Myeloma Working Group response criteria, measurable residual disease assessment, biomarker strategy, dose optimization, and benefit-risk evaluation.

Nice to have

  • Experience leading a pipeline with multiple assets, indications, programs, or lifecycle-management opportunities.
  • Experience with pipeline governance, asset prioritization, investment decisions, and strategic development planning.
  • Experience working in cross-functional, matrixed, global development organizations.
