Data & Machine Learning Platform Engineering Internship (ML)

Location: Onsite at the West Midtown Atlanta location, United States. The spring program runs from January 25 to April 30, 2026. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $35 per hour starting rate for engineering interns.

What you will do

• Learn how the Data and Machine Learning Platform Engineering team addresses data, scalability, performance, and MLOps challenges.
• Help create and maintain sports data-stream architecture for reliable, high-quality, high-speed data pipelines.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering and Data Science to operationalize data pipelines and data science and machine learning assets.
• Support model-output quality, stability, and scalability in production systems.

Requirements

• Background in computer science, computer engineering, statistics, mathematics, informatics, information systems, or another quantitative field.
• Strong coding skills in Python and SQL.
• Experience building robust data and machine learning platform applications and services.
• Understanding of Kubernetes and CPU and GPU architectures.
• Interest in sports and fantasy sports markets.
• U.S. work authorization for any employer is required; employment visa sponsorship is unavailable.

Nice to have

• Experience with lower-level programming languages such as C++.
• Coursework or experience deploying data or machine learning platforms and services from scratch.
• Success in open-source projects.
• Strong organizational, communication, presentation, and collaboration experience with technical and non-technical teams.
