Quality Data Engineer (AI/ML)

Location: Spring, Texas, United States of America. Relocation is available. Travel: 25%.

Salary: $105,050–$161,800 USD annually, with additional bonus and/or equity opportunities for candidates in the United States.

What you will do

• Lead enterprise data architecture strategy across data warehouses, data lakes, lakehouse platforms, and data services.
• Design and deliver scalable batch, streaming, and real-time data platforms for analytics, reporting, and AI/ML use cases.
• Build and optimize data pipelines, feature-engineering frameworks, and MLOps workflows.
• Establish data modeling, governance, quality, lineage, observability, security, and compliance practices.
• Guide data strategy, modernization, monetization, and adoption of cloud-native, data mesh, streaming, and GenAI architectures.
• Lead cross-functional technical decisions, mentor engineers, and resolve critical database incidents.

Requirements

• Four-year or graduate degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, statistics, mathematics, machine learning, data analytics, or a related field.
• 7–10 years of experience in analytics, data science, reporting, data engineering, or a related area.
• Strong experience with AWS or Azure data services, data lakes, lakehouses, data warehouses, ETL/ELT, and pipeline orchestration.
• Mandatory proficiency in Python and SQL; experience with Scala or Java is beneficial.
• Experience with streaming and real-time systems, data modeling and governance, MLOps, model deployment, and modern data architectures.
• Ability to lead complex projects, influence stakeholders, and communicate effectively across functions.
