Enterprise Architecture Senior Principal – Data, APIs, and Integration Architecture

Location: Morris Plains, New Jersey, United States

Salary: $174,800–$291,300 annually, depending on experience and geographic location; eligible for an annual bonus and long-term incentive plan.

What you will do

• Define enterprise data and analytics architecture strategies, capability maps, target states, and 3–5 year roadmaps.
• Architect modern cloud-native data platforms, including lakehouses, streaming and real-time pipelines, semantic layers, and reusable data foundations.
• Establish integration strategies and standards for APIs, messaging, event-driven architecture, service mesh, data sharing, and intelligent orchestration.
• Lead architecture for AI/ML platforms, feature stores, model lifecycle integration, GenAI, agentic analytics, and intelligent automation.
• Embed governance, quality, lineage, metadata, privacy, security, compliance, and trusted data usage into architecture designs.
• Partner with engineering, product, data, and business teams to drive adoption of DataOps, MLOps, CI/CD for data, and reusable reference architectures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• 12+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, data engineering, or analytics platforms.
• Experience defining data and analytics architecture strategies, target states, and multi-year roadmaps.
• Experience in large-scale, regulated enterprise environments such as healthcare or financial services.
• Expertise in modern data platforms, including Lakehouse, Data Mesh, and Data Fabric, as well as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Strong knowledge of APIs, event-driven architecture, streaming, data governance, security, privacy, AI/ML, and advanced analytics platforms.
