Cybersecurity Lead (Aerospace)

Location: Los Angeles, California, USA; in-person collaboration at the Playa Vista office.

What you will do

• Lead and develop a team of SOC analysts and engineers, including hiring, training, performance management, and professional development.
• Oversee security monitoring and incident response across triage, escalation, containment, eradication, and post-incident analysis.
• Conduct threat hunting, malware analysis, and investigations into escalated security incidents.
• Manage and optimize SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint security, vulnerability management, and related security tools and automation.
• Develop SOC metrics, dashboards, executive reports, policies, procedures, and incident response playbooks.
• Ensure 24/7 SOC coverage and support security strategy, risk assessments, audits, tabletop exercises, CMMC, and ISO 27001 accreditations.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of experience in cybersecurity operations, including 2–3 years in a leadership role.
• Experience with SIEM, EDR/XDR, IDS/IPS, CASB/SASE, Nessus, Burp Suite, firewalls, Python, and PowerShell.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols and Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and team leadership skills in high-pressure environments.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC GCIH, or CompTIA Security+.
• Must qualify as a U.S. Person under ITAR/EAR requirements or be able to obtain the required U.S. export authorizations.
