Senior Security Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Hybrid schedule with four days in office in Wyoming, Michigan or Atlanta, Georgia, and one remote day.

What you will do

• Lead threat hunting across operating systems, cloud environments, virtualized infrastructure, and networks.
• Design, implement, and maintain secure enterprise architectures and SIEM/SOAR data pipelines.
• Build and tune custom detections, threat intelligence integrations, and security validation workflows.
• Support incident response, root-cause investigations, remediation, and the SecOps on-call rotation.
• Develop security automation using Python, PowerShell, SOAR playbooks, IaC, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentor Security Analysts and support threat emulation, Red Team engagements, and AI workflow integration.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Five to eight years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Experience administering enterprise SIEM, SOAR, EDR, and NDR platforms.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity, incident response, forensic analysis, malware analysis, threat intelligence, and MITRE ATT&CK-based threat hunting.
• Experience with Windows, Linux, enterprise cloud, IAM, enterprise networking, detection logic, complex queries, and log normalization.
• Strong leadership, communication, mentoring, customer service, and time management skills.

Nice to have

• Professional certification such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC, or CCSP.
