Staff Enterprise Security Engineer (Space Technology)

Location: Onsite in Denver, Colorado; Long Beach, California; or Washington, D.C.

Salary: $160,000–$235,000 base in Colorado; $170,000–$245,000 base in California and Washington, D.C.

What you will do

• Conduct security assessments, vulnerability scans, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate threats.
• Architect, deploy, and manage threat detection and incident response configurations.
• Own security hardening for enterprise and corporate systems across cloud and on-premise environments.
• Monitor SIEM, IDS/IPS, and other security logs; investigate suspicious activity and respond to incidents.
• Integrate security controls into the software development lifecycle and participate in change management and review boards.
• Develop security policies, procedures, guidelines, and recommendations for internal stakeholders and vendors.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of information security experience focused on security engineering.
• Proficiency with SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners, endpoint protection, and enterprise technologies including SaaS and on-premise systems.
• Strong understanding of common vulnerabilities and exploitation techniques.
• Working knowledge of Python, Elixir, C, Rust, or another programming language.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and independent collaboration skills.
• Must work onsite in one of the Denver, Long Beach, or Washington, D.C. offices and meet U.S. ITAR eligibility requirements.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with threat detection engineering and security operations.
• Startup or defense industry experience.
• CISSP, CISM, CISA, or equivalent certification; active or obtainable TS/SCI clearance.
