TL;DR
Finance Business Partner (Automotive): Managing operational and program controlling for intelligent vehicle software development with an accent on budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and governance. Focus on partnering with senior leadership, controlling vehicle-program spend, reviewing purchase requests and invoices, and improving the accuracy of financial outlooks.

Location: Lindholmen, Gothenburg, Sweden. The role is based in Gothenburg and requires travel in Europe and China, with a maximum of one trip to China per quarter.

Salary: Market related.

What you will do

  • Partner with the SVP Intelligent Software Center and leadership team on strategic and operational financial decisions.
  • Lead monthly closing, variance analysis, OPEX tracking, cost control, KPI monitoring, and financial performance actions.
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, long-term plans, spend, burn rates, and forecast accuracy for vehicle development programs.
  • Coordinate financial alignment across engineering, procurement, and program management.
  • Review purchase requests and supplier invoices against budgets, contracts, and internal guidelines.
  • Lead annual budgeting and recurring forecasting cycles and prepare financial plans and presentations for senior management.

Requirements

  • Immediate, ongoing, and valid eligibility to work full time in Sweden is required.
  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or an equivalent field.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in financial controlling, business partnering, or program controlling, ideally in automotive, technology, or engineering.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.
  • Professional proficiency in English and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience with project controlling or vehicle development programs.
  • Experience with ERP and business intelligence systems.
  • Experience with Excel Query, Power Query, Macros, Power BI, or SAP S/4HANA.
  • Chinese language skills.
