SOAR Developer

Location: Lisbon, Portugal; hybrid work with 8–10 in-office days per month

What you will do

• Create and refine automation playbooks within the hirify.global SOAR infrastructure.
• Gather and analyse stakeholder requirements and translate them into development tasks.
• Evaluate multiple data sources and build playbooks across platforms and technologies.
• Support risk management, vendor collaboration, stakeholder communication, and strategic development activities.
• Use SOAR for metrics collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Create and maintain SOAR documentation while collaborating with internal and external counterparts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Cyber Security, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of security concepts and programming languages such as Python or JavaScript.
• Extensive hands-on experience with SOAR platforms such as Splunk Phantom, Siemplify, IBM Resilient, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of advanced threat detection and response, SIEM, SOAR, security operations, incident response, and threat intelligence.
• Familiarity with MITRE, the cyber kill chain, and APT campaign strategies.
• Fluent English is required. Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, teamwork, and prioritisation skills are also expected.

Nice to have

• Cybersecurity certifications such as GCIA, GCIH, GCFA, GNFA, CEH, or ECSA.
• Relevant experience in cybersecurity and automation.
• Experience working across a broad range of roles inside or outside hirify.global.
