Senior Fullstack Engineer (Strong Frontend Expertise)

Location: Madrid, Spain

Annual base salary: €60,000–€100,000 for a full-time role, plus performance-based variable compensation.

What you will do

• Design and develop rich, high-quality frontend applications for scalable cloud-native environments.
• Build secure, reliable, high-performing software that meets client and scalability requirements.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, engineering managers, and engineering teams on solution design and product roadmaps.
• Participate in architecture workshops, code reviews, Agile SDLC activities, and continuous improvement.
• Evaluate and prototype new technologies through Proofs of Concept.
• Mentor engineers and promote software engineering best practices.

Requirements

• Strong experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, React, modern React patterns, responsive UI development, and frontend performance optimization.
• Knowledge of Redux Toolkit, Context API, TanStack Query, routing, lazy loading, code splitting, accessibility standards, semantic HTML, ARIA, and automated accessibility testing.
• Testing experience with Jest and React Testing Library, plus exposure to Cypress or Playwright.
• Experience integrating APIs, understanding backend implementations, and troubleshooting end to end.
• Knowledge of relational databases, schema versioning, ORM frameworks, enterprise authentication, and secure software design.
• Experience with Azure DevOps pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, Infrastructure as Code, and networking; basic Terraform knowledge is required.

Nice to have

• Experience designing enterprise backend applications with Java or Kotlin and Spring Boot.
• Knowledge of REST APIs, messaging, JSON serialization, Spring Security, asynchronous jobs, request interceptors, and custom annotation processors.
