Frontend Software Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Bucharest, Romania. Hybrid work with one day per week in the office.

What you will do

• Develop efficient and reliable frontend code for banking products and services.
• Build and optimize decision-support tools, web-oriented banking services, and frontend core components.
• Work with financial experts to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Propose maintainable architectures, technologies, and methodologies to improve application quality.
• Improve build and deployment processes and provide application support to internal and external users.
• Share knowledge through pair programming, group training, and individual training.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science.
• At least four years of experience developing production-ready applications.
• Frontend development experience with TypeScript or JavaScript and good knowledge of React.
• Knowledge of RESTful services and Git.
• Familiarity with or willingness to work with test-driven development and testing tools such as JBehave, TestNG, and Selenium.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, good communication, teamwork, rigor, and autonomy.

Nice to have

• Understanding of J2EE and open-source frameworks including Maven, Spring, and Hibernate.
• Knowledge of Linux, Docker, Jenkins, Tomcat, and databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, and Redis.
• Interest in Agile methodology.
