AI Tech Architect (AI)

Location: Milan, Italy; hybrid work model with office presence shaped by business needs, team norms, and local policies. Travel to client sites in Italy and abroad is required as needed.

Base salary: €46,000–€49,000 per year, plus an annual discretionary performance bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Design and own architectural domains spanning API layers, data platforms, cloud infrastructure, and AI components.
• Develop AI-powered delivery pipelines that turn engineering standards and architectural guidelines into machine-executable workflows.
• Design governance mechanisms with multi-layered validation, identity boundaries, and end-to-end traceability.
• Implement automated testing, evaluation pipelines, architecture compliance checks, and red-teaming approaches for AI-generated systems.
• Translate enterprise knowledge, business intent, and technical requirements into scalable architectures and machine-readable structures.
• Communicate architecture decisions with technical teams and client stakeholders while contributing hands-on through proofs of concept, code reviews, and system design.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, AI Engineering, or a related field.
• 4–6 years of experience in software development or technical roles involving cloud, backend, or system integration.
• Hands-on experience with AI systems, including LLM-based applications, AI agents, or machine learning platforms.
• Knowledge of enterprise architecture, legacy systems, modern software delivery, DevSecOps, CI/CD, automated testing, and platform engineering.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in Italian and English; English at least B2, with C1 preferred.
• Willingness to travel to client sites in Italy and abroad.
