Project Manager (Energy Infrastructure)

Location: Cairns or North Queensland preferred; Brisbane considered for the right candidate. Full working rights in Australia are required.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end multidisciplinary engineering and construction capital projects at bulk fuel terminals across Queensland, Northern Territory, and Western Australia.
• Deliver projects involving bulk tanks, pipelines, gantries, electrical infrastructure, control systems, buildings, and services.
• Manage scope, schedules, budgets, risks, stakeholder engagement, documentation, forecasts, approvals, and progress reporting.
• Develop scopes and manage contracts for engineering service providers.
• Coordinate engineering, operations, HSE, contractors, and regulatory bodies from concept through commissioning.
• Ensure projects meet technical, safety, quality, compliance, and continuous improvement requirements.

Requirements

• Degree in engineering, such as Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
• Experience in project engineering and project management, ideally in fuel terminals, oil and gas, petrochemical, or industrial brownfield environments.
• Experience delivering stage-gated projects and working across engineering design, construction, commissioning, and operational interfaces.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and operate effectively in live brownfield environments.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• RPEQ, PMP, AIPM, or similar project management certification.
