Senior Software Engineer (C#/.NET, Vue)

Location: Hybrid in Valencia, California, United States; required to work from the Valencia office at least three days per week

Salary: $89,200–$169,500 per year

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software for implantable neural stimulation systems and related medical products.
• Build C# applications using WPF, UWP, XAML, MVVM, service-oriented architecture, and Entity Framework.
• Develop web applications with Java, Vue, Spring Boot, REST, AWS, microservices, and serverless architectures.
• Drive software development lifecycle activities, including requirements definition, architecture, planning, code reviews, development, and verification.
• Prepare technical documentation and development records in accordance with approved procedures and standards.
• Provide technical direction on complex projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical and organizational challenges.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of software development experience, including proficiency in multiple programming languages and C#/.NET.
• Experience with Windows application development using WPF, XAML, and MVVM.
• Experience developing web applications with Java, Vue, JavaScript/TypeScript, or scripting languages.
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming, design patterns, unit and integration testing, Agile methodologies, and the software development lifecycle.
• Database development experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, plus the ability to collaborate across technical and business functions.

Nice to have

• Experience with medical device regulations and standards, including 21 CFR Part 820, IEC 62304, and ISO 13485.
• Knowledge of Azure or AWS, microservices, serverless architectures, Kubernetes, Amazon ECS, Amazon EKS, or Amazon S3.
• Experience with Node, REST APIs, WCF, ASP.NET, Git, Jira, and software configuration or build tools.
• Technical leadership experience and the ability to direct complex engineering projects.
