Medical Biller/Claims Processing - Patient Support Representative (Home-Based)

Location: 100% remote within the United States; the posting also lists Dallas, TX.

Salary: $23.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Receive medical claims from healthcare providers and patients and verify that all required supporting documentation is included.
• Interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOB) documents and CMS-1500 forms.
• Review claims against program-specific business rules and determine approval or rejection.
• Provide customer support through phone, email, fax, and other communication channels.
• Identify operational challenges, recommend solutions, and manage daily productivity and quota expectations.
• Follow HIPAA guidelines while working 40 hours per week under moderate supervision.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a medical billing program, a medical billing degree, or a certified medical billing license.
• Experience in claims processing, insurance verification, and payment posting.
• Ability to interpret EOBs and experience with inbound and outbound customer service calls.
• Must be eligible to work remotely from the United States.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams, is preferred.

Nice to have

• Revenue cycle experience.
• Experience with secondary and tertiary billing.
• Familiarity with complex insurance scenarios and multi-layered billing processes.
