Senior Software Engineer, Security Engineering (Auth0)

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada; hybrid role

Salary: CAD 136,000–187,000 annual base salary

What you will do

• Build, maintain, and operate platform security services and controls using Python, Node, or Golang.
• Design and optimize security data pipelines that ingest, process, and distribute data to downstream systems at scale.
• Architect secure, resilient microservices and platform integrations for cloud infrastructure.
• Write clean, testable, and documented code, contribute to technical designs, and participate in code reviews.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience designing, building, and maintaining production-grade software services.
• Strong hands-on proficiency in Python, Node, or Golang.
• Experience designing scalable, maintainable, and secure software architectures.
• Experience with AWS or Azure and container technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Practical experience with platform security controls, service permissions, and secure coding practices.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Systems Engineering, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Experience with high-throughput streaming or log-processing tools such as Kafka, Kinesis, Pub/Sub, or Vector.
• Experience with Terraform and Policy-as-Code tools.
• Familiarity with FedRAMP, SOC 2, and security frameworks in multi-cloud environments.
• Experience or interest in applying AI/ML tools to security automation and analysis.
