Sr. Sensor Engineer - Data Protection (Hybrid)

Location: Hybrid role based in offices in Sunnyvale, CA; Redmond, WA; Austin, TX; Arlington, VA; Boston, MA; and New York, NY.

Base salary: $140,000–$215,000 per year, plus eligibility for bonuses, equity grants, and benefits.

What you will do

• Design and develop data protection functionality across Windows kernel-mode and user-mode components.
• Build and maintain Windows filesystem minifilter drivers and endpoint protection capabilities.
• Implement protection for data access and transfer scenarios on Windows endpoints.
• Develop AI-aware detection and protection logic for AI agents and tools interacting with sensitive data.
• Own features from design through delivery, post-release support, and customer issue resolution.
• Collaborate with multifunctional engineering teams across multiple office locations and use AI-assisted development tools.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or professional experience with Windows kernel-mode and user-mode development.
• Strong C and C++ development skills.
• Experience developing Windows filesystem minifilter drivers.
• Experience with kernel-to-user-space IPC, the Windows filesystem filter model, and local and remote filesystem implementations.
• Experience with kernel-level debugging processes and tools.
• Proven experience using AI technologies to improve decision-making, workflows, efficiency, and business outcomes.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AI agent ecosystems and their interactions with filesystems and operating systems.
• Experience with AI-assisted development workflows and agentic coding tools such as Claude Code.
• Experience in endpoint or data security.
