TL;DR
MedTech Field Service Engineer or Technician (Medical Devices): Installing, configuring, testing, and updating infusion pumps, batteries, and related medical device hardware, software, and network products in hospitals across the United States with an accent on field service, technical troubleshooting, and healthcare facility support. Focus on leading device upgrade assignments, documenting test results, meeting hospital credentialing requirements, and managing extensive regional and national travel.
Location: Chicago, IL; 100% travel required across local, regional, and national United States assignments. Candidates must live within 1 hour of a major airport and have a personal vehicle for assignments up to 3 hours from home.
Salary: $27.00–$32.00 per hour.

What you will do
- Lead installation, updating, testing, and servicing of medical devices, including infusion pumps and batteries, in hospitals.
- Install and configure hardware, software, and network products during device upgrade assignments.
- Provide technical communication and customer support to hospital staff on site.
- Conduct routine checks, record product test data, and submit daily documentation.
- Work independently or with a team while completing assignment-based schedules and supporting customer needs nationwide.
Requirements
- Associate degree, equivalent military training, or equivalent biomedical or technical field service experience.
- 3–5 years of field experience, with strong computer and technical troubleshooting skills.
- Professional communication, time management, organizational skills, and business acumen.
- Valid unrestricted driver's license, acceptable driving record, and personal vehicle required.
- Ability to sit and stand for extended periods and lift up to 70 pounds.
- Ability to complete hospital vendor credentialing and meet required vaccination and immunization requirements.
Nice to have
- Background in biomedical, networking, military, or field-based technician work.
- Experience in a technical healthcare environment.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and OneNote.

- Assignment-based schedule with a requested 40+ hour weekly commitment and overtime as needed, although 40+ hours are not guaranteed.
