Grid Management Developer and Historian Specialist (AVEVA PI)

Location: Santa Ana, California, US. Hybrid work mode; employees are required to work and reside in California. The role reports to an SCE facility for a set number of days and allows remote work on the remaining days. Relocation does not apply.

What you will do

• Support and maintain the Distribution AVEVA PI Historian, a near real-time platform for collecting, storing, and visualizing industrial grid data.
• Translate business needs into operationally supportable designs and provide technical analysis for grid application requirements.
• Develop PI analytics and reports, monitor energy usage data, and identify trends, anomalies, and optimization opportunities.
• Provide operations support, troubleshooting, integration testing, user training, and support for new grid application releases.
• Configure and maintain grid application databases, telemetry, controls, scripts, and advanced grid applications.
• Support power system modeling, state estimation, contingency analysis, power flow analysis, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• At least three years of experience designing, building, implementing, maintaining, or supporting complex utility, real-time, or enterprise systems, or experience using a utility grid application.
• Experience with AVEVA PI Systems, including architecture and change management.
• Development and scripting experience with shell scripts, .NET, and C#.
• Experience with SCADA systems, data analysis, report development, and SQL.
• Must work and reside in California; the position uses a hybrid schedule based at the Santa Ana SCE facility.
• Must pass a NERC/CIP Personnel Risk Assessment or Background Investigation and complete required training before unescorted access.
