Software Engineer (ASP.NET)

Location: Toledo, Ohio, United States; hybrid work with a remote option under the right circumstances

What you will do

• Develop, test, and integrate features, functionality, and APIs for ASP.NET website projects.
• Work with Technical Leads and Project Managers on requirements, estimates, and technical planning.
• Collaborate with software engineers, front-end developers, designers, and other project team members.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, troubleshooting, and technical documentation.
• Communicate project status, risks, blockers, and technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Learn new technologies and use AI-enabled tools and workflows to improve efficiency, quality, and problem-solving.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of professional software development experience, primarily with ASP.NET and C#; candidates with 2+ years of .NET experience may also be considered.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong knowledge of ASP.NET Core, MVC web applications, Web API development, asynchronous programming, caching, dependency injection, RESTful APIs, and authentication or SSO technologies.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL, cloud environments such as Azure or AWS, and continuous integration and deployment practices.
• Proficiency with Visual Studio, Git, Postman or cURL, and work- and issue-tracking systems such as Jira or Bugherd.
• Hybrid work is preferred for candidates within commuting distance of Toledo, Ohio; a remote arrangement may be considered under the right circumstances.

Nice to have

• Experience with .NET content management systems such as Optimizely, Sitefinity, or Umbraco.
• Exposure to NoSQL solutions such as Cosmos DB or DynamoDB.
• Front-end development experience with JavaScript, React, Vue, or other modern frameworks.
