Embedded Software Engineer (Embedded Linux)

What you will do

• Customize, integrate, and optimize software for embedded computing products and customer applications.
• Develop, bring up, and support Embedded Linux BSPs, kernels, device drivers, and middleware.
• Integrate, validate, and test software for FPGA-based platforms.
• Create demonstration software and reference configurations for sales activities and customer evaluations.
• Validate operating systems, middleware, applications, and device drivers across Linux, Windows, and VxWorks.
• Diagnose system bring-up and application issues while collaborating with hardware, FPGA, systems, sales, and customer teams.

Requirements

• Engineering degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with Embedded Linux on x86 platforms.
• Proficiency in C for embedded and low-level software development, including register-level interaction.
• Strong debugging, system-level problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States and meet applicable U.S. Government export-control requirements.
• Certain roles may require BPSS pre-employment screening and security clearance eligibility.

Nice to have

• Experience integrating software with FPGA-based subsystems, Linux kernels, or device drivers.
• Exposure to VPX, OpenVPX, or SOSA-aligned architectures.
• Knowledge of networking configuration and constraints.
• Experience supporting fielded systems in regulated environments.
