AI Engineer - Applied AI & Agentic Systems

Location: Aarhus or Copenhagen, Denmark; hybrid with 2–3 days per week onsite

Salary: DKK 650,000–750,000 per year

What you will do

• Build and integrate AI and machine learning services into production systems.
• Develop agentic workflows combining models, tools, data, and business logic.
• Evaluate LLMs, SLMs, and specialised machine learning models for specific use cases.
• Design retrieval, context, and knowledge systems for AI applications.
• Review and validate human-written and AI-generated code in AI-assisted engineering workflows.
• Collaborate with software engineers, product teams, and AI specialists to move solutions from concept to production and improve them after launch.

Requirements

• Strong Python skills or equivalent experience in a language such as C, with modern software engineering practices including API and service development.
• Experience shipping AI or software products into production, including running AI or ML systems in cloud environments and CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs or generative AI systems.
• Experience with AI agents, tool calling, orchestration frameworks, AI coding assistants, or coding agents.
• Strong engineering judgement and experience reviewing, testing, and challenging human-written and AI-generated code.
• English is the working language; Danish is not required. Candidates must already have eligibility to work in Denmark, as visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with RAG, embeddings, vector search, or knowledge systems.
• Background in machine learning or applied data science.
• Model evaluation and benchmarking experience.
• Experience with finance, analytics, speech recognition, customer experience, or contact centre technology.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to engineers and non-engineers.
