Plant Supervisor II

Location: Richburg, South Carolina, USA; onsite work on the warehouse floor around heavy machinery

What you will do

• Lead employees to achieve production, distribution, quality, safety, budget, and deadline objectives.
• Teach, coach, assign, coordinate, and review team members’ work.
• Conduct performance reviews and disciplinary actions while maintaining fair treatment and clear performance standards.
• Ensure employees receive training on safety procedures, equipment use, workplace policies, and performance expectations.
• Monitor working conditions, report accidents and incidents, and take corrective action when required.
• Resolve personnel and quality issues using problem-solving methods such as 8D, 5 Why, and Kaizen.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent with basic math and reading skills.
• Basic computer skills and effective communication with plant management, sales staff, warehouse personnel, customers, and suppliers.
• Warehouse experience with forklifts, packing, and measuring.
• Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills, plus the ability to understand equipment and tolerances.
• Safety-focused approach to working around heavy machinery.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing is required for this safety-sensitive position.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 2–3 years of supervisory experience in a related field.
• Knowledge of metals staging, processing, packaging, and shipping.
• First aid and CPR training.
• Exposure to labor relations, safety programs, ISO standards, lean practices, and sales functions.
