Data & Innovation Lead (AI)

Location: Building 201 at Schiphol-East, Netherlands; at least three days per week onsite, with home working possible on other days when the work allows.

Gross monthly salary: €4,348.98–€6,212.83.

What you will do

• Coordinate privacy activities across Security Services, including Data Protection Impact Assessments, privacy documentation, and privacy-by-design reviews.
• Analyse cyber threats, overflight risks, physical security matters, and integrity cases, translating findings into actionable recommendations.
• Improve processes across Security Services and identify opportunities for automation, AI applications, and decision-support solutions.
• Promote effective and responsible use of data, analyses, and digital tools through facilitation, clear communication, and knowledge sharing.
• Act as the data lead for the domain by supporting data definitions, ownership, quality, metadata, retention, and access controls.
• Work with Data & Technology teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions that meet privacy, information security, lifecycle, and data-quality requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in data science, business analytics, information management, computer science, privacy, law, or a related field.
• At least two years of relevant experience in data analysis, data governance, and privacy.
• Experience combining data, interpreting findings, and translating analysis into actionable insights.
• Knowledge of data quality, data ownership, access controls, retention, responsible data use, and GDPR.
• Practical experience with privacy assessments, privacy-by-design, and internal privacy guidelines, procedures, or controls.
• Ability to communicate analytical and privacy topics clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders while handling sensitive information with accuracy and discretion.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI governance and the EU AI Act.
• Privacy certification such as CIPP/E, CIPM, or an equivalent qualification.
• Experience in aviation, security, cyber, intelligence, integrity, or another regulated environment.
