Fraud Analytics Internship - Spring 2027

Location: Onsite at the West Midtown Atlanta location, United States

Starting pay: $30 per hour

hirify.global operates a Daily Fantasy Sports platform covering sports leagues including the NFL, NBA, and esports titles.

What you will do

• Analyze onboarding, promotional, and payment activity to identify fraud patterns, estimate risk, and recommend controls.
• Evaluate fraud controls using before-and-after comparisons, holdouts, and backtests, including their effect on legitimate users.
• Build dashboards and maintain a fraud and payment metric dictionary.
• Investigate data anomalies with Engineering to keep reporting accurate.
• Answer ad-hoc questions from Fraud Operations and Product with clear recommendations.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.
• Rising junior, senior, Master's student, or recent graduate within one semester of graduation.
• Strong SQL skills, including joins, window functions, and aggregations.
• Proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets and foundational statistics, including hypothesis testing.
• Ability to explain complex concepts clearly to non-technical colleagues and demonstrate a relevant class, work, club, or personal project.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python, R, or Tableau.
• Interest in sports and curiosity about how systems are abused.
