Senior Software Engineer, C++ (NMS) (C++/Qt): Building and evolving a cross-platform network management delegate for device discovery, network monitoring, and large-scale communication with customer infrastructure with an accent on asynchronous systems programming, network protocols, and performance-sensitive Windows and Linux software. Focus on designing concurrent workflows, handling SNMP and related protocols across diverse devices, optimizing reliability under thousands of network operations, and developing comprehensive automated tests.
Location: Remote from Germany, with hybrid office work available in Berlin.

What you will do
- Build and maintain cross-platform software for Windows and Linux using C++, Qt, CMake, and native platform APIs.
- Develop network discovery and monitoring features that collect device and interface data and monitor network health.
- Implement and troubleshoot SNMP, SSH, ICMP, WMI, and other network and device-management protocols.
- Design high-performance concurrent and asynchronous software communicating with potentially thousands of devices.
- Optimize resource usage and reliability across operating systems, network environments, and device vendors.
- Own unit, integration, and system-level testing and collaborate with backend, UI, QA, and product teams.
Requirements
- 7+ years of C++ development experience, including C++14 or newer and production-quality systems software.
- Strong proficiency with Qt, CMake, Windows, Linux/POSIX, multithreading, concurrency, and asynchronous programming.
- Experience with network programming and protocols; knowledge of SNMP is particularly valuable.
- Ability to debug issues across application, operating-system, and network layers.
- Experience designing comprehensive test cases and plans for complex, highly critical systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or a related technical field.
