Business Data Analyst (Mobile Gaming)

What you will do

• Translate large-scale player data into actionable recommendations for product, design, and leadership teams.
• Analyze player behavior, virtual economies, and incentive systems to understand their impact on long-term engagement.
• Formulate and test hypotheses while building analytical frameworks for complex business questions.
• Lead deep research projects and present compelling, evidence-based narratives that guide the strategic roadmap.
• Use modern tools, including LLMs, to support brainstorming and automate routine work.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in the gaming industry or more than 3 years of experience in monetization.
• Strong first-principles thinking and the ability to break complex problems down into fundamental elements.
• Deep curiosity about human behavior and the ability to form and communicate data-informed opinions.
• Ability to explain complex statistical models through clear, persuasive narratives for diverse audiences, including C-level executives.
• Resourcefulness, self-direction, and comfort working through uncertainty.

Nice to have

• Understanding of experimental design and A/B testing methodologies.
• Strong SQL skills for querying and manipulating large datasets.
• Experience using Python for data analysis and automation.
• Familiarity with user analytics platforms such as Mixpanel.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Looker.
