Intermediate Kotlin Back-End Developer

Location: Fully remote, but candidates must live in Portugal or be legally qualified to live and work there

Salary: €25,470–€39,000 gross per year

What you will do

• Develop server-side applications and digital products with Kotlin.
• Design distributed systems and microservices in cloud-native environments.
• Build and maintain services running on AWS and Kubernetes.
• Work with relational databases, especially PostgreSQL.
• Implement automated testing and observability to support reliable performance.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on client projects and solve technical problems.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience with Kotlin in server-side development.
• Hands-on experience with distributed systems, microservices, AWS, and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency with relational databases, especially PostgreSQL.
• Experience with JUnit, Testcontainers, Grafana, or similar testing and observability tools.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Must live in Portugal or be legally qualified to live and work there.
