Infrastructure Engineer II (Microsoft 365)

Location: Hartford, Connecticut, United States; flexible hybrid work model

Salary: $114,700–$189,200 annual base salary, plus eligibility for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What you will do

• Own Exchange Online and on-premises Exchange Server in a hybrid environment, including Azure AD Connect, mail flow, mailboxes, routing, retention, archiving, and server health.
• Administer enterprise Microsoft Teams policies, meetings, client updates, Teams Phone System, Direct Routing, dial plans, call queues, normalization rules, and E911 services.
• Maintain integrations across Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
• Build PowerShell automation for onboarding, offboarding, licensing, mailbox and Teams configuration, reporting, monitoring, patching, and backups.
• Provide Tier 3 troubleshooting, root cause analysis, monitoring, and escalation management with Microsoft Support.
• Plan and deliver Exchange updates, mailbox migrations, Microsoft 365 feature deployments, and potential tenant-to-tenant migrations with testing, change management, documentation, runbooks, and training.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related STEM field, or equivalent work experience.
• At least 4 years of infrastructure engineering experience; 5 years of relevant Infrastructure or Systems Engineering experience is listed among the core qualifications.
• Substantial experience with Exchange hybrid environments, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive for Business.
• Knowledge of Exchange architecture, Teams policies and voice, Azure AD identity and security, Conditional Access, MFA, PowerShell, Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, networking, and monitoring.
• Ability to work in the Hartford-based flexible hybrid model and participate in occasional off-hours maintenance or critical-incident response.

Nice to have

• Microsoft certifications and advanced Microsoft 365 services experience.
• Experience with third-party administration tools, enterprise or regulated industries, and migration or upgrade project leadership.
