Company

hirify.global is a defense and security company developing advanced systems in aeronautics, weapons, command and control, sensors, and underwater systems.

What you will do

• Study stochastic dynamic games in belief space and investigate whether simplifying assumptions can be relaxed.
• Develop Bayesian models of other agents for real-time strategic decision-making.
• Explore higher-order beliefs and uncertainty about other agents’ beliefs.
• Design compact parametric, factored, or sampling-based approximations of nested probability distributions.
• Implement algorithms and conduct numerical experiments.
• Carry out a literature study and develop mathematical models, with potential to contribute to a conference paper.

Requirements

• Final-stage student in Engineering Physics, Engineering Mathematics, or an equivalent field.
• About to begin a 30 hp master thesis project; the project is suitable for two students.
• Comfortable with probability theory, linear algebra, optimization, and programming.
• Relevant coursework includes stochastic processes, Bayesian statistics or state estimation, optimal control, and numerical optimization.
• Security vetting is required; additional citizenship obligations may apply for positions requiring security clearance.

Nice to have

• Coursework in measure-theoretic probability or measure theory.

Culture & Benefits

• Collaboration with experienced engineers and specialists.
• Support and guidance for translating theoretical knowledge into practical solutions.
• Opportunity to contribute to advanced technology in defense and security systems.
