What you will do
- Develop and validate predictive lifetime models for thermal barrier coatings used in gas turbine applications.
- Plan and evaluate experiments involving material testing, coating characterization, and degradation analysis.
- Analyze material and coating performance data and develop modelling approaches for robust lifetime assessment.
- Collaborate with and Linköping University researchers.
- Communicate research results through scientific publications and technical reports.
Requirements
- Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to translate complex material behaviour into predictive models.
- Proficiency in English, written and spoken, with the ability to present technical results clearly.
- Availability for the primary work location in Finspång and regular presence at Linköping University.
Nice to have
- Experience with computational modelling, data analysis, or experimental research.
